Background

The Fusion Rugged Outfit is a phone case designed for the HMD Fusion. The Fusion Rugged Outfit is part of a broader range of "Smart Outfits," which allow for customization of both aesthetics and functionality. This outfit is, as the name suggests, extra rugged, with an IP68 water and dust resistance rating. It features an In-Case-of-Emergency (ICE) button that when pressed, will send an emergency message to a chosen contact. It also features a Push-To-Talk button, giving the phone functionality similar to a walkie-talkie.

The Fusion Rugged Outfit connects to the HMD Fusion through six electrical connector pins at the back of the phone. These pins serve as the hardware electrical interface between the HMD Fusion device and the Rugged Outfit.
