On December 13, 2021, iFixit and Microsoft announced a program where iFixit Pro independent repairers and Microsoft Authorized Service Providers can purchase tools for repairing select Microsoft Surface devices directly from iFixit.com.

Background

Microsoft’s Surface Pro 11 was announced on May 20th, 2024, alongside the Surface 7 Laptop. This Surface Pro tablet has a Snapdragon 10 to 12 Core processor and offers an optional AI companion, Copilot. It features a high-resolution touchscreen display and a detachable keyboard with stylus support. The kickstand has also been updated to offer more angles so there's more flexibility in its use. The Surface Pro 11 retail price starts at $999 and can be ordered in the following colors: Sapphire, Dune, Black, and Platinum.

Identification

The Surface Pro devices all look very similar. You can identify your Surface Pro model by the 4-digit number printed on the bottom edge under the kickstand. The Surface Pro 11 has model number 2076.

LCD vs. OLED

The Surface Pro 11 comes with the option of an LCD or OLED display. To figure out which display your device has, you'll need to know which processor is in your Surface Pro. To do this, opening the Settings application and navigate to System About. Under Device Specifications you should see Processor listed. This is how the processors correspond to display type:

  • Snapdragon X Elite (12 Core): OLED
