Background

The 2024 Moto G Play is Motorola's budget smartphone option, and is a direct successor to the 2023 Moto G Play. All modern Motorola phones are made by Motorola Mobility, a subsidiary of Lenovo.

The third generation Moto G Play sports a 50 MP camera, a 90 Hz display, a fingerprint reader, expandable storage, a headphone jack, and an IP52 water resistance rating. The 2024 Moto G Play is lighter, has more RAM, and double the storage over its predecessor.

The 2024 Moto G Play is priced at $149.99 and is only available in Sapphire Blue.

Identification

The 2024 Moto G Play can be identified by model number XT2413. It has two vertically-oriented rear cameras, where the bottom one is actually the flash, and a "hole punch" front camera at the top of the rounded-corner display.
