Background
The Sonos Playbase is a first-generation full home-theater speaker. The Playbase can hold televisions weighing up to 77 lb (35 kg). Its dimensions are 2.20 x 28.35 x 14.96 in (56 x 720 x 380 mm) and its weight is 21.5 lb (9.8 kg).
The Sonos Playbase is Apple AirPlay 2.0 and Amazon Echo compatible. The Playbase streams over WiFi instead of Bluetooth to maintain consistent audio, even during phone calls. The Playbase can also connect with other Sonos devices to create a surround sound system.
Identification
The Playbase appears as either a black or white rounded rectangle, with a Sonos logo and 4 buttons on the front, and 3 ports on the back. To identify your device, the name Sonos Playbase is etched on the bottom case.
