    • The release switch is at the bottom of the key under the unlock button and the trunk button.

    • Slide the release switch to the side.

    • While sliding the release switch, pull the key out.

    ***Note:2009 c-class release switch is on the back of the fob at the bottom.

    • Insert the key in the inside slit to release the back cover.

    • Remove the back cover.

    • Insert the pointed end of a spudger in the gap between the battery and the key.

    • Push up after inserting the screwdriver to pry the battery out.

    • Slide the new battery in at the edge first. (It should fall into place.)

    • Put the back cover back in place.

    • Put the key in its original spot.
