Introduction

Dodge Charger Key fobs are known to have their battery drained quickly. If your key fob stops working and you're unable to get into your car, don't worry! Most like, you just need to replace the battery. Though we used a 2017 Dodge Charger key fob to demonstrate, this guide should be applicable for 2011-Present Dodge Charger key fobs. When following this guide, do not use too much force as it may result in breaking your key fob.

    • Pull the inner key from key fob.

    • Remove the key chain or any accessories for easy access to key fob.

    • Use a spudger to gently pry and separate the two halves of the key fob.

    • Be careful and pry slowly to avoid breaking the key fob.

    • Use a nylon spudger to pry under the battery and remove it from the key fob.

    • Insert the new key fob battery into the holder.

    • You will hear a click sound when you push it into the holder.

    • Reassemble the key fob covers.

    • They should snap together.

    • Press down around the edges to ensure the key fob is securely assembled.

    • Slide the car key into key fob.
