Introduction

Use this guide to replace your tail lamp or tail light assembly on a Subaru Impreza. The part number for the rear left is (SKU: 84201FL03B) and the for the rear right is (SKU: 84201FL02B).

If your 2017-Present Subaru Impreza tail light assembly is broken or burned out, this guide provides instructions. Be sure that you replace the other tail light if one has burned out. Typically the bulbs will burn out around the same time.

The tail light is necessary for safe driving, especially at night. It is also illegal to drive with a broken tail light and you may be ticketed.

Before starting this repair, ensure your car is in park and the engine is turned off.

    • Use a flathead screwdriver and place it in the divot to release the tab and remove the screw covers.

    • Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver to remove the two screws under the screw covers.

  4. Tap the tail light assembly and pull it from the side to remove it from the vehicle.

    • Detach the tail light assembly connector from the car and remove the tail lamp completely.
