Introduction

The Bissell CrossWave Cordless Max 2554A is inoperative without the handle. The handle directly connects the main features of the vacuum. Before moving to replacement, refer to this troubleshooting guide for handle not attached properly. If it doesn’t operate then a replacement for the handle is needed.

For this guide, the handle button is on the back of the vacuum in Step 1. This button is essential for removing the handle as well as hearing a click when it’s installed. The diameter of the opening for the button is 8 mm; therefore, any tool under this measurement will be able to release the handle.

    • Start by facing the vacuum away from you so that you are looking at the back side of the clean water tank.
