Introduction
The slider button had a part broken off; this manual describes glueing it in place.

These Bose headphones have a power slider on the bottom shell in the picture. After 3 or so years, the slider no longer engages, and after disassembly it can be seen that a part of the slider has broken off. This can be fixed with glue and a heat-shrink tube.

-
... as seen on Youtube: remove the earpads by gently pulling, they are held in place by clips.
-
Then remove the cloth; it has been glued, but can be pried off. Opening a single edge is sufficient to find the three screws.
-
Minor tears are no concern; in this case when reassembling, double sided sticky tape has been used.
-

-
The shell is held in place by three phillips screws, see photos. Then the shell at the back can gently be pried off.
-
it may be helpful to use tape to pull the shell. Whilst opening, the power slide and the bit that broke of fell out.
-
-
-
Glueing the broken part in place with instant glue restores the shape; here an additional heat shrink tube has been added for extra strength.
-
Gently heat the tube so that it pulls the part in place.
-
Also, the instant gluemade the opening a bit more narrow than original, so some smal torx have been used to widen the hole a bit. A very small drill would work as well.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

This fix in this video is not very well done. Not explained well enough!
Let me know where you get stuck, and what you miss.
Hi, can I get a quick repair from you with pay if I come to your location? Please give me your number
I recommend repair café's https://www.repaircafe.org for that, I volunteer in one.
Do you have a part number for the power switch or offer a replacement? My Quiet Comforts turn themselves on intermittently so I often find the battery dead when I need to use them.
Could you repair the selfstarting of the Bose headset?
If yes, how?
Same topic here.
I sprayed contact cleaner from WD40 into the switch and moved it back and forth a few times. Now it works fine, think it just got dirt inside that messed it up.
