Introduction

This repair is typically needed if you're switching carriers, upgrading your SIM card, or experiencing connectivity issues like dropped calls or trouble accessing mobile data. Replacing the SIM card can also resolve problems such as an unrecognized card or service errors.

This repair only requires any kind of prying/opening tool, the iFixit Opening Tool was used in this guide. To replace the SIM card in your Casio G’zOne Commando 4G LTE, you’ll first need to remove the phone's battery. Keep in mind that removing the battery will reset the phone temporarily, so make sure you don't have any unsaved work or data before beginning disassembly. Additionally, it's important to handle the SIM card with caution to prevent damage. Follow this guide for a smooth and effective repair process.

    • In order to get at the battery, you will have to pull the locking tab to the “Free” position. Once you do that you will have to pry the battery cover off (using a plastic opening tool or similar prying tool).

    • Because the phone is designed to be waterproof, it is advised that you do NOT use your fingernails.

    • After removing the battery you will find a port that is labeled SIM directly beneath where the battery was sitting.

  4. cZ2CkYBuEMjdABLJ
    • Lift the tab that is located directly to the left of the card.

    • Slide the SD card out of its port to remove it from the cell phone.

Conclusion

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order. Take your e-waste to an R2 or e-Stewards certified recycler.
