    • This document is a summary of other documents I have already published regarding thermal fuse values for coffee machines. It is a work in progress, so as I gather more values, I will add them.     • When replacing a thermal fuse, we must consider both the temperature it can withstand and the current it can handle.

    • NEVER INSTALL A THERMAL FUSE THAT WITHSTANDS LESS TEMPERATURE; always use one with the same or slightly higher rating.

    • NEVER INSTALL A THERMAL FUSE THAT WITHSTANDS LESS CURRENT, as it will overheat easily. Always use one with the same rating; if this parameter is higher, it's even better. The key factor of a thermal fuse is ITS MAXIMUM OPERATING TEMPERATURE.

    • 186º - 5A. In the market, we can find a compatible one rated for 192º.

    • It is a common fault for this model: the machine is dead due to a blown thermal fuse. There are some videos on YouTube about it.

    • NOTE: The replacement of thermal fuses is done with electrician-type terminal blocks, isolating the entire body (NOTE: in the photo, it is still pending isolation). The fuses are crimped at their connection to the wire. If they need to be soldered, there is a technique to prevent damage, by holding them with a wet cloth or an ice cube.

Hola!

No me parece adecuado sustituir los fusibles quemados por otros de más temperatura. El fabricante estableció una temperatura maxima de seguridad que no permita que se dañen otros componentes, si sustituimos por uno de mayor capacidad, permitirá que el dispositivo se caliente másy se puedan ocasionar daños irreversibles en otras piezas mas costosas o insustituibles. Por otra parte, cambiarlos por otros de menor temperatura de corte, hará que salten en regimen de uso normal.

Hola, Respeto tu opinion, pero por experiencia en numerosas reparaciones, el fusible termico se puede colocar de un valor ligeramente mayor ya que realmente sigue cumpliendo su función, en los aparatos que lo cambiar si tienen sobretemperatura se funde igualmente.

Si, realmente son 20 º de diferencia a esa temperatura elevada la proteccion seguira siendo la misma
