Introduction
This guide is for users looking to replace speakers on the Dell Latitude 5480 laptop. Speakers provide audio which allows users to hear sound from their laptops. Users will want to replace their speakers if it the audio coming their speakers sounds muffled or is not working in general. One cause for these symptoms could be that one of the wires is broken, another cause could be one or both speaker drivers has blown out.

Insert an opening tool into the seam between the lower case and chassis.

Pry up around the perimeter of the device until the lower case fully releases.

Lift off the lower case.

Grip the black battery cable connector loop and pull it directly up to disconnect the battery.

Flip the motherboard to view the speaker cable connection on the underside.

Flip up the speaker cable ZIF locking flap.

Disconnect the touchpad ribbon cable.

Carefully unseat the wire between the two speakers from the clips.

Lift the speakers up and out of the chassis.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
