Introduction

Follow this guide to replace the WWAN card in your HP EliteBook x360 1030 G3 laptop.

The WWAN (Wireless Wide Area Network) card allows you to connect to the internet using a cellular connection. If your computer has a WWAN card installed and you're having trouble using cellular, you may have a faulty WWAN card.

If you are having trouble accessing a local Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection, you may have an issue with your WLAN card, which cannot be replaced independently of the motherboard on this laptop.

    • Detach the small wires connected to the card by lifting the ends straight upward. The wires are held in place by friction and should pop right off.

    • These wires should be handled carefully since they're the mobile cell service/WWAN antennas.

    • Take note of which wire goes where, as mixing these cables will cause the mobile cell service/WWAN to stop working.
