Introduction

The headphones wouldn't operate or connect to your smartphone without the battery. If your gadget won't power on, the battery might need to be changed. To change the battery, refer to this manual.

    • Position the headphones so that you can see the opening for the cushion. It should be along the outer edge where the cushion meets the plastic.

    • Take your IFixIt opening tool and place it between the cushion and the plastic to help you separate them.

    • Be aware that the plastic tabs securing the cushion in place are susceptible to breaking. Use caution when using IFitIt tool when separating the cushion because damaging these tabs will result in difficulty reattaching the cushion.

    • After removing the ear pad cushion, unscrew the four 1.6mm black screws with your Phillips-head screwdriver.

    • Use the Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the black casing screws.

    • Lift the casing to see the battery.

    • The central spherical piece of metal is the battery. Use the ifixit opening tool and pry open the battery in your direction to remove the battery.
