Introduction

In this guide you will replace the mother board of your JBL headphones. Some issues with these headphones faced by users may be caused by a short circuit, or some other issue with the motherboard, and require a replacement. This replacement is moderately difficult, and can be time consuming. It will require a jimmy tool, screwdriver, and soldering iron.

    • Insert a jimmy into the seam between the cap and chassis.

    • Pry around the perimeter of the cap until it fully releases.

    • Remove the cap.

    • Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the three screws that secure the motherboard.

    • Desolder all of the connected wires.
