Introduction

If your Kano Computer Kit Complete (model 1000K-02) is having trouble producing sound through the speaker, use this guide to complete the speaker replacement. Signs of a faulty speaker include muffled, distorted crackling sounds, or possibly hearing nothing. Make sure you have a new speaker and your tools ready. After following these steps, the replacement is complete and your speaker should be loud and clear.

Step 1

Take off the clear backing of the computer and set it aside.
Locate the Speaker.

This step seems a little unclear to me—how should the user apply pressure to the sides? Do you have to wedge your fingers in the sides, or just press both hands on either side?

Step 2

Unplug the blue power cable from the brain.

I would suggest adding a shot here of the whole computer with the blue cable marked up, then the action shot.

Unplug the blue audio jack from the brain.

Step 4

Pull the speaker up off the back of the screen.

How do you pop it off? Should the user lift, pull, etc? I would also suggest using a flip style shot here with a before and after. Also, note this text is bold.
