Introduction

Phone won't charge, and the charger is functional? Replace your phone's charging adapter.

NOTE: Charging adapter is attached to the logic board, so replacement requires replacing the logic board.

    • Lay the phone, screen side down, in your palm.

    • Slide the grey button towards the top of the phone.

    • With the button unlocked, grab the battery on the sides and pull up, then slide the battery up to completely remove it from the phone.

    • Use the Phillips #00 and remove the four screws on the lower backside of the phone.

    • Remove the three rubber screw covers with tweezers and then the three screws underneath using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.

    • Detach the outer casing from the back of the phone.

    • There will be a significant amount of resistance to detaching the back casing.

    • Unsnap the gold rectangular connector and silver square connector from the motherboard.

    • Remove the motherboard. Do not remove other components.

    • Insert the new motherboard with the white side facing down.

    • Make sure the side buttons on motherboard are correctly aligned to avoid future complications.

    • Replace logic board to replace charging adapter.
