Introduction
1 or both small plastic tab breaks on the battery door and chassis preventing battery door from closing. Problem is battery bay spring tension is too high. Need to adjust. If adjusted prior to door breaking, door probably would not have broken.
Made aluminum piece to keep door closed.
Disassemble using Plastic Cover Replacement Guide and Power/Shutter Button Assembly Replacement Guide to access battery spring tensioner.
Small needle nose plier and adjust according to diagram to reduce battery spring tension.

Use small needle nose plier to adjust battery spring tension according to diagram. If original spring tension was reduced, battery door likely wouldn't have broken.
