Introduction

The Otium Bluetooth Headphones are rated for 500 charge cycles. If your headphones will not hold charge, or charge at all, you may need to replace the battery.

    • Power off your earbuds first.

    • Use a pry tool to unclip the cover of the left earbud.

    • Carefully remove the battery from the housing.

    • The battery is connected by two fragile wires.

    • Shown is a 3.7v 100mAh Lithium Polymer (LiPo) battery.

    • Carefully peel back the rubber cover from the protection circuit module (PCM).

    • Remove the cover and save to re-use.

    • The rubber is attached using Kapton tape and hot glue.

    • Carefully bend the PCM away from the battery to make desoldering the two wires easier.

    • Use a soldering iron to desolder the two wires from the PCM.

    • Adding a JST connector would make future repairs much easier!

    • Recycle your old battery!
