Introduction

After frequent use of the controller, the buttons may get worn out and possibly get stuck depending on how long the controller has been used. Because of this frequent repetitive use, the buttons may need to be replaced.

    • Flip the controller over so the backplate is facing up.

    • Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver to remove the eight 7.8 mm screws that secure the rear case.

    • Hold the front case in one hand and pull the rear case off.

    • Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the two 7.8 mm screws securing the motherboard to the chassis.

    • Pull the motherboard away from the controller to access the buttons.

    • The motherboard is not fully removable because it is attached to the D-Pad. Be careful not to rip the motherboard from the D-Pad.

    • Pull the old buttons out of the shell of the controller using the angled tweezers.
