Introduction
This is a work in progress.
I am repairing the screen on my daughter's phone when I have the time, and will add to this guide as I work.
Tools
-
-
insert fingernail or spudger between screen and coloured back at one of the top corners. Work around the perimeter disengaging the clips that hold the back of the phone on.
-
Lift the back carefully as the fingerprint scanner is attached by a fine ribbon cable. You should be able to separate the sensor from the back by lifting the diagonal attachment tabs. The adhesive is a narrow ring between the sensor and the case.
-
-
-
unscrew all 10 of the 000 philips screws. One is concealed under a tamper sticker.
-
Lift the cover away from the phone to expose the motherboard. There are some small clips around the edge, so it may come away with a jerk. If you leave the screws in the cover they will likely be thrown out at this point.
-
-
-
You can now unclip the battery (safety first!) and screen from their connections at the bottom of the motherboard.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
