I bought the wave washer via ebay (10 pieces) and replaced it as described here. Only residues from the old one were remaining...
Now the closing mechanism of the blade feels firm again and (so far) no leakage was observed.
Thanks!
The black wave washers tend to rust pretty quickly, I managed to find stainless steel ones on aliexpress but haven't been able to test them properly due to now having issues with the plastic retainers. I found the latch started getting corroded and its use damaged the plastic retainers so it doesn't hold as well as it used to. I'm wondering if the latch is suffering from galvanic corrosion during dishwasher use.

I have the same problem with corroded latch. Did you find any solution?
A new washer fixed the problem. I found suitable ones on Aliexpress out of Stainless steel. https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DFnIus...
