Introduction
Hello, this is a simple guide of how to disassemble a Shakespeare Synergy steel titanium fishing reel.

Take off bottom cover, there is a small screw in the front of the cover. After that's removed just rotate clockwise to remove.

Remove release handle. There is a little pin in the place that is circled. It will need to be hit out with a tiny screwdriver and hammer. After that the handle will slide right out.

The spring circled needs to be removed with a flat head screw driver of a small pair of pliers. after that is removed the spool topper will fall right out. Also unscrew the reel handle (what's used to reel in the line).

Next, take off the snap on clip on the top and pull off the spool. Be sure to keep track of the order of the washers both plastic and metal.

Remove the crank shaft with the four screws that hold it in. Be sure that the alignment of the pins on the back side stay the same with the smallest pin facing down.

Next, remove the pinion gear that was sitting ion the area circled in red. Easily removed with pliers.

Finally, remove the center bearing. It is removed easiest by pushing two screwdrivers outwards on the inside of the bearing.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
