Introduction
If your Shark Apex DuoClean Powered Lift-Away (Model-AZ1002) has issues with the functionality of the vacuum there may be a blockage in the hose. Please follow the steps of the guide to check for blockages. This hose connects the base of the vacuum which picks up dust to the dust cup. The blockage may include problems such as low/no suction, the brush roll won't spin, or the vacuum is overheating. Everything listed in the steps are meant to be removed or opened for easy access. There won’t be any screws or special skills involved.
This guide can be used either as a maintenance procedure, or to fully replace the hose.
Here is the official Shark Troubleshooting Page for more specified causes.
