Introduction

After several shock, my WH-1000XM3 becomes very difficult to power on.

It takes serveral minutes to push repeatly and/or continuously the power button.

So I decide to tear it down to see if there is a solution and better to be helpful for others.

Luckly my problem isn’t that complicate. Will do the rest teardown if anything comes up again(hope not xD).

    • Start from the left side. Remove the ear cushion.

    • Personally I start from the up-right side.

    • Remove all the screws, there are 5 short ones on the upper level and 4 long ones on the bottom.

    • Carefully open the back cover you can see the NFC antenna connects to the mainboard.

    • It seems that the wires tangled under the sticker cause the problem. I tried to sort them a bit and the power button come back alive.

Thank you very much leonw87. My headphones are working again thanks to your instructions. I changed the battery first, unfortunately without success.

After I sorted the cables on the board a bit, I stuck a tape over the connection points so that they are better fixed.

Great job from you.
