Introduction

This is a Teardown for the Samsung Remote commonly equipped for Samsung CRTs from the early 2000’s.

    • Start by removing the front sliding plate, I did this by lifting the side off the track gently as to not bend the plastic too much. Afterwards remove the Phillips Screw from the battery compartment.

    • Using a spudger tool, start at the top end of the IR shield and lift up in the middle for the middle clip to unhook. This should pop the entire black piece out. Next use the crack entrance that’s been made available along the side to work your way down it, separating using something thin but sturdy. One side should unhook and you can separate it

    • PCB, Battery Terminals, and LED shields are all loose enough to slide away from their bases. Simply place the previously mentioned items back into their spots and everything clicks back together. IR shield can be placed in place prior to fully clicking the front and back together for an easier time.
