School: Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University

Major: Aeronautical Engineering

I chose aeronautical engineering because since I was a kid, airplanes have always fascinated me. I always wanted to know how they worked, how they were built, and how to fly one. Aeronautical engineering would give me answers to all three of those questions. Eventually with this aeronautical engineering degree, I hope to get a job at companies such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin, SpaceX, and Northrup Grumman.

I’ve worked with Cisco hardware for about 3 years now so I have a adequate amount of experience with Cisco. I’m also Cisco CCNA certified. I also have a lot of Microsoft Office experience.

I don’t have a lot of projects I’m proud of but one I am proud of is my first engineering project that I accomplished in college. It was designing a 2 stage launch vehicle within client specifications and I was the project lead. I feel I really learned a lot about the design process and a lot about how project work goes. I also don’t have a lot of repair experience but I have troubleshooted a lot of Cisco hardware and networks. I also troubleshooted my desktop at home to get it in working order.

Some hobbies I have are video games, water polo, and occasionally photography. I enjoy going out on night drives and taking pictures of the sensory or simply just enjoy the view.

This iFixit project relates to me in that I own three laptops and 2 of them are getting pretty old in terms of computer age. So when it comes down to it, I would like to know how to repair my own laptop whether it be replacing the screen, keyboard, or some other component in my laptop.
