Hello, my name is Gregory Hatcher. I’ve worked in various roles in the IT industry for nearly 30 years now. Areas of experience are: IT Help Desk Management, break/fix support client-side (software/hardware), IT Enterprise Support - break/fix (hardware/software), network administration, system administration, USO-ITO Service Delivery, IT security, and general IT consulting.

I have an Associates of Applied Science degree (Computer Network Engineering Technology) from Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. I have the following certifications: A+, Network+, ITIL v3 Foundation, Certified Dell Technician (client), and Certified Apple Technician (AMT). I’m currently working on acquiring the following certs: CCNA (2020), PMP, and CISSP.

Currently, my role is providing level 2 IT support for a major medical insurance company. Also, as a HPE partner, I founded an IT consulting company called GLH Techworks Ltd (https://www.glhtechworks.com). I offer IT support in all of my areas of experience mentioned above, but I’m developing my skills to offer cloud/hybrid-cloud IT solutions.

When I became Apple certified I learned of iFixit, because they offered tools that I learned how to use when preparing for the exam. I’ve always liked to teardown electronics devices, but never had time to really repair them. Since visiting this site, I have changed my attitude a bit - LOL. In fact, I’ve honored my pledge to repair at least one (1) item this year; it was a faulty remote controller for my Hasbro BB-8 (2015). I will post my triumph a little later.

I look forward to sharing what I’ve learned over the years. I also anticipate learning a lot more from the iFixit community.
