Hi! My name is Clayton Biehunko and I am a Computer Programming undergraduate at Austin Community College. My house is full with 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a fiancé.
I was a mechanic in the Air Force for four years stationed at Holloman AFB, New Mexico. I am the only one in my family that has any kind of mechanical training and mine is limited to weapon systems of an F-22 Raptor, not exactly transferrable to the civilian world.
However, this did seem to translate to a general understanding of basic mechanical structures. If I tinker with something long enough, I can figure it out. This experience has served me well in renting a home and taking some work off my landlord's plate. It's also really enjoyable to fix or repair something so I try to keep the skill honed. Getting to write an actual technical guide for iFixit is an exciting opportunity. It is sure to push my abilities even further.
My other life endeavor is music creation. I have been making music as a hobby for about 11 years now. I love to create and I am very thankful to have a hobby that will last me a lifetime. The genres I produce are typically Drum and Bass and Halftime, high energy dance music.
Ultimately, I want to focus the skills I learn from computer programming into creating a new VST(virtual studio technology) to aid in the creation of music for new producers.
Recently, my fiancé and I have been traveling more, and I found I really like Colorado. Normally, I would consider myself the furthest thing from an outside person possible, but something about the parks out that way just feel great.
Anyway, that about covers most of what I have to offer, I will do my best to make meaningful contributions to this community and I am excited to learn from all of you.
