Hi there! My name is Pamela Villalon, and I am a junior at Sam Houston State University pursuing a bachelor's degree in criminal justice (B.A) and a minor in American Sign Language (ASL) . I'm now pursuing my goal of becoming a defense attorney so that I can assist clients who have language barriers.

Since I was a young child, I have always liked the idea of becoming a defense attorney. I watched television series like "Law & Order," "Hawaii Five-0," "Suits," and others that focused on the criminal justice system. And ever since, I've been motivated to practice defense law while upholding the principles of equality, kindness, honesty, and diligence. These principles are important to me personally and professionally in order to change society. I decided to minor in ASL in order to apply it to my work as a lawyer and fulfill my desire to assist those who are unable to speak for themselves.

My uncle is a mechanic, and my dad works as a welder. I've never repaired anything myself. They've both taught me how to fix things around the house, such doors and cars, and what to do in the event of an emergency. I have all this repair knowledge, but I have never used it until now.  That's why I'm so eager to apply everything I've learned to this Fix-It project so that I can assist others who might be having trouble fixing things.Through this project, I intend to learn more from my peers about how to mend things that I haven't yet done and reinforce the idea of working hard to meet the needs of people by learning how to fix things.
