My name is Lindsey Lanman. I am a full-time student at Sam Houston State University pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology. Upon graduation in the Spring of 2025, I have aspirations of continuing school and achieving my Masters and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with the ultimate goal of becoming a forensic psychologist.
In August of 2022, I was asked to be a contracted facilitator for SkillsUSA. I have been able to travel all across the United States to different conferences, work with all different levels of student leaders, and foster an understanding of the organization within the leadership curriculum provided. I also work at Sam Houston State University’s Department of Residence as a Resident Advisor. In this position, I have been able to develop skills such as thinking quickly in stressful situations and communication by handling unpredictable and quick-paced situations involving resident safety.
In my free time, I love to read especially Patrica Cornwell’s Scarpetta series. I have currently read 19 of the 26 books in her series and I am excited about finishing the released books because Patrica Conwell has started to write additional books to add to the series. I also enjoy taking walks to enjoy nature and teaching myself to crochet new things.
I don’t have much experience fixing things beyond small random repairs to appliances using Google and YouTube; however, I am very interested in learning how things work and why they may not work as intended. I am excited to dig deeper into the process of helping others fix things!
