Austin Hance

About Me:

Nice to see you, my name is Austin Hance. I am currently a freshman student at the University of North Texas (Denton) who majors in engineering, more specifically computer science. This was my go-to major because I have been interested in computers and how they work for many years, more specifically the software engineering aspect of it.

Hobbies & Interest:

Even though I have yet to make a career out of it, I like to call myself a musician. I spend most of my days playing guitar for hours on top of hours followed by making beats in my Digital Audio workstation. I am serious about improving my craft, therefore if I had any free time after a busy day, I would most likely spend it doing guitar technique exercises or watching a tutorial on how to make some sort of auditory special effect. My end goal with music is always changing, but either way I like to spend my days always doing something that will somehow bring me closer to my goal.

Initially I intended to pursue music as a career, however, I changed my mind after I decided that this is a hobby that I like to do in the comfort of my chair in my room, wherever that is. If a career does come out of it someday, that would be more than welcome.

Along with that I am a gamer, and I don’t use that word lightly. Any game I play I tend to want to be one of the best at it. This includes a variety of first-person shooter genres as well as occasional MMO RPGs, sandboxes, sports, and more.

A few of these games include:

  • Call of Duty (a wide range of the series)
  • Fortnite
  • Minecraft
  • Apex Legends

This list is never consistent. I find myself jumping from different games of different genres every now and then.

Additional Information:

A little more about me. I was born in Kissimmee, Florida and raised in McKinney, Texas with 2 brothers. I have one older brother who happens to go to the same college as me and one twin brother (we are nothing alike) who has chosen to stay home. My family has 2 dogs, a German Shepherd and a Labradoodle that I always find myself taking care of, but they’re very fun to hang out with.

If you haven’t recognized it already, I always like to be doing something during my day, since, when slumped in my chair with drool streaming down my face I feel unproductive.
