My name is Joaquin Botello. I am a freshman at the University of North Texas majoring in mechanical and energy engineering.
I love the field of aviation and love aircraft. I especially love military aircraft and are what I would want to work on later on in life. Every time I hear an aircraft overhead, I run outside to see it like a little kid. While in high school I was in an aviation program regulated by the FAA, the Federal Aviation Administration, where I learned about aircraft maintenance. When I graduated I was given a General in aircraft maintenance, I do not regret a single moment that I spent in this program because it only grew my interest even more.
Another joy of mine is music, I can not live life without music. I enjoy multiple genres, but my favorite is Mexican Regional music. Hearing the accordion and bajo quinto, an instrument similar to a guitar brings joy and a sense of pride to my soul. I taught myself to play the bajo quinto, which is the instrument that joins the accordion in most traditions not just Mexican, but Italian, German, etc.
