Hello there! My name is Jesus Ortiz.
I am currently an Austin Community College Student pursuing an associates degree in Computer Information Systems. I choose this major because I am eager to learn and be a crucial part of all the technological advancements that will come along in the next few years. With this associate's degree I intend to continue in this path to eventually earn a bachelor's degree in Software developments.
As for the future, I would like to acquire much of the real world experience and become proficient in multiple programming languages. Ultimately I intend to develop software or be part of a company that helps our society improve and grow with implemented technology. Although I have not been involved or embarked on any projects or received any special recognition, I'm excited and motivated by the possibilities my chosen degree will bring as I continue further into my path.
Other than school and work, I've become more of a homebody in the last few years. Mostly spend my free time going for a workout at the gym, teaching my dog new tricks or experimenting with different dishes and desserts in the kitchen. However, every once in a while I do indulge in going out for a few drinks or take road trips with my siblings.

I think this project will benefit me in a way that I can learn about different products and would also help me develop my communication skills. Growing up I helped my dad fix a lot of stuff around our home so I have some background knowledge on a few things. However I am excited to use the iFixit system to not always do projects or repairs alone and to know there's more people out there that could potentially help me find a solution to my issue, and do the same myself.
As mentioned above, I do have a 1.5 year old Boston Terrier named Archie who certainly makes getting home the best part of my day. However, as much as I have tried making him a lap dog, he has the energy of a thousand race horses which means its fetch time 24/7. Luckily for me he has acquired the skill to throw his toys off the stairway and go after them himself.
