Hi! My name is Amber.
I am a bioengineering major at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. I chose this major because I eventually want to become a scientific researcher in the field of genetic engineering and/or immunology and the skillset of an engineering background is very appealing to future employers. My passion lies in the science field and bioengineering is the right major for me to pursue it.
I want to become a researcher in the field of genetic engineering and/or immunology because I have a big dream of making a change in those fields. As someone who was diagnosed with a relating condition, I firsthand understand the difficulties and struggles of those who deal with similar. Some have it much much worse than I do, and I want to change that. I dream to help at least one person suffering from an autoimmune disease through some sort of treatment or cure.
