About me!
Hello! Welcome to my profile! My name is Beck Spitler and I am a freshman at the University of North Texas (UNT). I am currently studying Finance with a minor in real estate, and I am pursuing a career in Investment Banking. I chose finance because it is such an important aspect of people's lives and I want to help people in such an important facet of life. I am using Ifixit to work on the standard project for my technical writing class. I don't have extensive repair experience, nor on Ifixit, but I love helping people, so I look forward to creating an easy-to-follow guide.
Interests and Hobbies
I love traveling and want to experience all that the world has to offer. I was able to visit Japan last spring, it opened my eyes and gave me a deeper yearning to travel and see as many unique cultures as I can. Since I'm not filthy rich (yet), and can't travel the world, I spend most of my free time playing video games, working out, or hanging out with friends. I generally like to play competitive games as I love seeing visual improvement and working to achieve something everyday. Im a big proponent of the "get 1% better everyday" mentality, and strive for constant improvement/learning. I love animals and have 3 cats, Jack, Tom, and Koda.
Books I'm reading
I recently have started reading a lot more and below is a list of books I'm currently reading. (I love books about philosophy/sociology if you have any recommendations).
- The Outsider, Colin Wilson
- Why We Sleep, Matthew Walker, PhD
- Sophie's World, Jostein Gaarder
