Hello! My name is Dino Espineli. I am a junior Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering student at the University of California, Davis. After college, I am planning to pursue a career related in mechanical design and manufacturing fields. I aim to work for a company that can give me extensive hands-on engineering experience and will allow me to practice the knowledge I learned in my classes.

Throughout my academic career, I have led and collaborated on several technical projects that required problem-solving and teamwork. One such project involved working with three students from different engineering disciplines to develop a water filtration prototype. In this project, I applied rapid prototyping techniques to generate sufficient water pressure and explored innovative ways to remove contaminants, ultimately leading to our use of bamboo charcoal. Another project involved researching about fuel economy standards under the guidance of a mentor. This project enhanced my analytical thinking skills by using Python and Excel to analyze government datasets and devise an alternative method for calculating fuel economy standards.

In the meantime, I am excited about the opportunity to write instruction guides for iFixIt. While I may not have much experience doing repairs and restoration, I have assembled a variety of furniture and have used different instruction manuals. I have encountered the easiest to the most complicated manuals, which gives me an idea of a properly written instructions look like. I would love to be part of iFixIt and create guides and people successfully complete their repairs and projects.
