Hi! My name is Nathan Leung. I am a 3rd year computer engineering student at the University of California, Davis. I've always had a passion for computer hardware and technology, which is why I chose this major.
Growing up, I've always loved tinkering with computer hardware, and was fascinated by technological innovations. When I was 12, I bought my first desktop, and old Dell Optiplex. I found joy in upgrading the graphics card and processor, so that I would be able to run games. A year later, I built my first gaming PC. Over time, I upgraded the RAM, storage, CPU, cooling system, and graphics card. When I bought my laptop, I also upgraded the storage and wifi card. I found lots of joy upgrading old hardware, instead of having to buy a new computer outright.
Here's a picture of the PC I built!
In addition, I've always been into cars for as long as I can remember. I drive a Fiat 500 Abarth, a fun, tiny car. One fix I remember performing on it replacing my headlights. Since it's such a tiny car, the engine bay was super cramped, so it was a struggle just getting my hand in there to take the old bulb out. But with persistence, I got it eventually and was able to replace it with the new headlight.
