I’m currently a junior at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, majoring in Computer Science with a concentration in Cyber Security. I chose this major because I’m passionate about protecting systems and data in our increasingly digital world. My goal is to work in the cyber security field after earning both my undergraduate degree and a master’s degree in the same field.

Throughout my academic journey, I’ve developed a range of skills that I believe will be valuable to future employers. I am proficient in programming languages such as Java, C, C+, C++, HTML, and Python. I have experience in data analysis and visualization, as well as research and documentation. Additionally, I am skilled in using Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for report and dashboard development. Time management is another strength of mine, as it allows me to balance my academic workload with extracurricular activities.

In my spare time, I enjoy golfing, which provides a great way to relax and maintain focus. This project is personally meaningful because, as a Computer Science major, I don’t often get the chance to work with hardware. This opportunity allows me to gain hands on experience that complements my coursework and helps me further develop my technical skills.

My internship at South Coast Health has been an incredible opportunity to apply my classroom learning to real world healthcare challenges. Working in digital health services, I’ve been involved in analyzing healthcare data to identify trends and improve patient outcomes. This hands on experience has not only enhanced my technical skills but also given me valuable insights into how data and cyber security play a crucial role in healthcare. It's been rewarding to contribute to meaningful work that impacts the well being of patients.

Golfing is one of my favorite ways to unwind and challenge myself. The game teaches me a lot about patience, focus, and the importance of strategy all of which are critical skills in my studies and future career in cyber security. Just like in golf, every detail matters in solving complex problems, and I always strive to improve, both on the course and in my academic pursuits."
