Hello! My name is Melany Casillas. I'm a sophomore at California State University, Los Angeles and I am majoring in electrical engineering.
I dream of working and designing new and safer methods of controlling and managing power at nuclear power plants or just an ordinary power plant. I've always been fascinated by how the systems work in those plants and how complex they are designed. Understanding how they work and creating simpler ways to manage these intricate feats of engineering is something I've been set on achieving ever since I've learned of nuclear power many years ago.
Although I've never had the resources to create something that used electricity, I have built many pieces of wearable gear from different franchises that no other individual really had available that wasn't insanely pricey or otherwise inaccurate to the item I was fond of. Another project of mine was creating my own 3D model of a puzzle in my high school years that I was particularly proud of.
I have fixed are a pneumatic orbiting tool and many wires. Since I take relatively good care of what I own, I don't have to repair too much too often. But I would like to repair computers, televisions, appliances, and sowing machines.
What I like to do in my spare time consists of sketching or drawing anything that comes to my mind, I have been doing so for around 10 years now and plan to forever keep doing so. I also like creating my own beaded jewelry often and gifting them to friends and family. I like to sow and modify my clothing due to stores only having bland clothing and if those that do have the clothing I like being too out of budget. I also am taking up embroidery, to create patches to add to the clothing I plan to modify.
I have a Russian blue cat named Felix; he has such a personality of a little child that always wants and will keep crying until he gets what he wants, so he meows the majority of the day.
