Hello, my name is Scott Turnham. I am currently in my first year at Cuesta College, returning to continue my education after a 10 year hiatus. I am currently pursuing an associates in Computer Engineering with aspirations to transfer and obtain my bachelor degree. I have always enjoyed working with my hands and problem solving and would like to pursue a career in which I am able to do both.
For the past 8 years I have been working in the food and beverage industry as a high level cocktail bartender and manager which has honed in my ability for time management, problem solving, and creating products (in the form of cocktails) in a timely manner while often times in a high stress environment.
Outside of my work environment, I have spent time working on my own car using guides found on the internet, as well as fixing the laptop I am currently writing on by using guides found on iFixit.
This is my car I have spent hours working on doing basic maintenance and modifying all based off of guides found on the internet.
Pictured below is a photo of me on the mountain snowboarding which is one of my favorite hobbies, I try to spend as much time up in the mountains on the snow as possible during the season.
Having first hand experience with the helpfulness of iFixit's platform makes the repair guide project more meaningful, due to the fact that now I am able to give back and hopefully help others where I have been helped.
