Mr. Coffee BVMC-PC05BL2-NP

The Mr. Coffee BVMC-PC05BL2-NP is a 5-cup (25 oz.) programmable drip-brew coffeemaker. Its two main functions are "Brew Now" (which immediately begins brewing coffee) and "Brew Later" (which allows you to set a time for the coffeemaker to brew coffee in the future). Additionally, it has the Grab-a-Cup Auto Pause feature, which allows you to take a cup of coffee before brewing is done. It also has the 2-Hour Auto Shut-Off feature to automatically turn the coffeemaker off for the user.

The there are several recurring issues with this coffeemaker. Multiple users have had error codes appear (Ec6, Ec2, etc). Mr. Coffee Consumer Care responds to all of these issues with the suggestion that it means the coffeemaker is receiving insufficient power, and that switching outlets or unplugging the machine and plugging it back in should resolve the issue (although some users have noted that this does not resolve it). Users have also mentioned the brew function ceasing to work. Another repeatedly mentioned issue is the coffeemaker shutting off either before the 2 hour auto shut off should occur or while brewing. Users also mention their issues getting replacement components (particularly for the glass carafe, which is notably breakable).

A similar model of coffeemaker is the Mr. Coffee 5-Cup Mini Brew Switch Coffee Maker, which also has the Grab-a-Cup Auto Pause feature but does not have the brew later or auto shut-off features. The Mr. Coffee® 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker is another very similar model, but with a larger capacity, a 4 hour instead of 2 hour auto shut-off feature, and an LED display.

This distinguishes it from other Mr. Coffee programmable coffee makers of different capacities. Mr. Coffee is written across the front of the top section and the front of the carafe.
